Georg Dornemann was born on November 1st, 1910 in Breslau, Silesia. After the Second World War he was a farmer in Sotterhausen, Sachsen-Anhalt. He escaped with his family from Eastern Germany to the West in 1953 and finally landed in Borken, Westernphalia. Here he became one of the first "Standortenkommandanten", military commander with the newly erected "Bundeswehr".
Georg Dornemann died in Borken on April 8th, 1990.
