Friedrich Gundlfinger was killed on April 21st, 1945 as Major and pilot of Jukers Ju 325, KT+VC during the evacuation of high ranking NAZI-officials from the airport of Schönwalde to Salzburg. The aircraft crashed for unknown reasons during an emergency landing, South of Dresden, near Börnersdorf. On board of the plane there were nine persons, pilot, Major Friedrich Gundlfinger, technician Obefeldwebel Wilhelm Budack, gunner Franz Westermaier, SS-Hauptscharführer Wilhelm Arndt (Führerbegleitkommando), SS-Hauptscharführer Max Fiebes (Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler), Eugen Bassler, Hermann Schleef, Mae (?) Fiebes, an unknown member of the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler and two unknown woman.
The was only one survivor, gunner Franz Westermaier.
