Oberfeldwebel Kienberger was WIA flying with 1./ Kampfgeschwader 3 'Blitzgeschwader' with his Bordfunker Uffz. Herbert Meilinger (WIA) on 19 September, 1942 and made an emergency landing in Map Quadrant Pl.Qu. 47761 after his Ju 88A-4 Werknummer 6676 was hit by flak.
