    Biography

    Hans Lutter flew over 400 missions in Schnell-Kampfgeschwader 210 (later re-named Zerstörergeschwader 1) in the Me-110. He finally achieved the rank of Hauptmann during the Second World war. After the war he served with the Bundeswehr from 1st April 1956 until 31st March 1971.

    “Oberfeldwebel Hans Lutter has inflicted heavy losses on the enemy during the campaign in the East. He has added 4 aerial victories to 1 achieved prior to the Eastern campaign, and over the course of numerous ground attack sorties he has destroyed 30 enemy aircraft on the ground. The materiel losses he has inflicted on Soviet ground forces include the destruction of 7 tanks, 10 guns, 40 vehicles and a great deal of miscellaneous war materiel.”
