23.11.1942: Oberleutnant and pilot, awarded the Ehrenpokal
15.03.1943: Oblt., NASt. Fleischmann awarded the DKiG
00.04.1944: transferred to II. Gruppe, Nahaufklärungsgeschwader 102 Jüterbog-Damm for observer training
11.07.1944: Oblt., 3./ NAGr. 14 - POW when Bf 109 G-8 coded 'Yellow 14' was shot down by light AA-fire 8 km West of Caen, East of Carpiquet while flying a low altitude photo recce mission over Caen-Carpiquet; bailed out and captured by Canadian troops. Credited with 154 operational sorties at time of capture
