Biography
Karl Munz flew over 600 combat sorties with Jagdgeschwader 52 flying the Messerschmitt Bf 109. He later flew the Messerschmitt Me 262 with III./EJG-2 and scored 3 aerial victories in that aircraft. His total victory count was 60 including 6 on the Western Front and 2 four-engine bombers. He was recommended for the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes (Knights Cross of the Iron Cross) at the end of the war, but it is not sure wether he finally received this decoration.
