Biography

Over the course of the war Pölz flew a total of 1055 sorties, including 351 with the Fw 190. In this time he achieved the following materiel successes...

- 11 aerial victories
- 10000 GRT of supply shipping sunk (Mediterranean)
- Sunk the British sloop HMS Auckland (24.06.1941)
- Sunk the Soviet destroyer "Kharkov" (06.10.1943)
- With his Staffel assisted in the sinking of the Soviet destroyers "Bespostsady" and "Sposobny"

Hubert went missing in 1994 while taking a swim in Spain, his body was never found. He was declared dead in 2002.
