Oberfeldwebel Richard Wittmann survived the war
A book relating some of his experiences entitled "Luftwaffe Fighter Bombers over Britain" was written by Cris Goss, Crecy Publishers.
Wittmann took part on the 31 October, 1942 to the mission at Canterbury where Lt Paul Galland was KIA.
