22.2.1944: Oberfeldwebel Würfel was flying the Fw. 190 A-5 WerkNr. 152599 'Black 4' when it collided ivo Rogatschew in Russia with Oberfeldwebel Heinrich Dittlmann flying the Fw. 190 A-5 WerkNr. 2555 'Black 6', both pilots were listed MIA from 23 Feb 1944. Würfel survived the crash, was captured by the soviet and died of Typhus in the POW Camp 280/5 near Stalino.
