“On the 13.-14.07.1941 Generalmajor von Boltenstern personally led his Division in a fresh drive over the Dnieper river near Kopek. Then, with great energy, he led his men in a push up until midday on the 14.07.1941 that took them all the way to the gates of Smolensk while breaking all enemy resistance along the way, and by doing this he achieved a great operational success.”
