01.1943: Gefreiter, assigned to II./JG 54 on completion of fighter training and then to 6./ JG 54
c.10.1943-06.1944: transferred to the Jagdfliegerschulen as a fighter instructor
17.10.1943: Unteroffizier, awarded DKiG, 6./ JG 54
08.11.1943: awarded Ehrenpokal
07.1944: returned to 6./ JG 54
18.11.1944: transferred 8./ JG 54 WIA - when his Fw 190 A-6 coded 'Black<1 +' was shot down South of Libau
12.03.1945: Feldwebel, awarded Ritterkreuz, 8./ JG 54
04.1945: promoted to Leutnant
