Biography

Early 1941, Heinz Geschwill was heavily wounded during an operational sortie over England. After a leg amputation he spend over two years in hospitals. During this period he was promoted to Oberleutnant. He was not put into action after that.

In this time he flew many individual attacks against special targets in the UK. On one of these he scored a direct hit on an important armaments factory.
