    Recommendation:
"This airman has carried out 38 operational sorties with persistence and efficiency and his commanding officer has been able to place the utmost confidence in him on any mission for which he was detailed. Flight Sergeant Sedivy is an exceptional pilot and captain of aircraft who has always reached his target. On 15th January 1941, he was detailed to attack the naval base at Wilhelmshaven. On nearing the target, his aircraft was attacked by an enemy fighter and, whilst employing evasive action he was forced down almost to sea level. Retaining his bombs, he eventually evaded the fighter and, climbing to 10,000 feet, went on to bomb his target, causing a large fire. During the course of his many missions, Flight Sergeant Sedivy has attacked most of the important industrial targets and dockyard installations in Germany."
