Biography

Jürgen Harang was killed on 20th January 1945 near Weruschau, west of Wielun. sources state that he at that moment flew with II. / Schlachtgeschwader 77 (and not with the at his Knightscross awarding mentioned II. / Jagdgeschwader 77).
Research revealed that Harang indeed was killed near Weruschau (Polish Wieruszów, west of Wielún), thus stating that he most probably flew with the II. / Schlachtgeschwader 4, which unit records the only losses around the date of 20th January 1945 in the mentioned area.
