“Oberleutnant Erich Hohagen has shot down 9 aircraft over England and another 21 in the Eastern campaign. Throughout his flying career he has also executed numerous ground attack missions against airfields, AA batteries and enemy columns. The outstanding flying abilities, attacking spirit and courage he has displayed whilst serving as commander of a Jagdgruppe have been a continual inspiration for his crews.”
