Biography

He was a pilot of a torpedo bomber, and the leader of a squadron. He served on three carriers - the Enterprise, the Intrepid and the Hancock. He retired from the Navy in 1962 at the rank of Commander after 20 years of service. As with some many of his generation, he never talked about the war or his service, remaining modest and selfefacing.
