The award given to sub officer Vasile Mihalache in 1944. This award was taken away from when Soviet Forces entered Romania. Romania was forced to switch sides and fight against Natzi Germany and Hungary. Most awards were reposesed or destroyed by Soviet forces. Vasile Mihalache hid this honour for many years and has not been discovered since.
