Biography

Wolfgang Lippert was pilot during the Spanish Civil War, the Campaign in the West in May-June 1940, the Battle of Britain, the Campaign on the Eastfront and in North-Africa.
He was shot down with his Messerschmitt Bf 109, Werk-Nr. 8469, over Allied territory in Egypt by Clive Caldwell of No. 250 Squadron on November 23rd, 1941. When exiting his plane he was severely injured by hitting the tailpiece of his plane and was hospitalized by the British. Here he passed away on December 3rd, 1941.

Wolfgang Lippert was credited with 30 aerial victories amongst which five during the Spanish Civil War and four at the Eastern Front.
