Biography
When the in Warsaw born, who had a Polish father and Russian mother, Konstantin Rokossovsky became a Soviet general in 1941, out of propaganda reasons it was decided to change the place of birth in his biography in Velikiye Luki. A Soviet general off course could not have been born as a Polish citizen. At the same occasion it was decided to change his real first name from Kasimir into Konstantin.
