Kallfelz is supposed to have been credibly proven to have received the decoration. The "Nachauflage" (1992) of Horst Scheibert's book lists 50 such recipients. From these 50, only 11 have been added to the standard work by Patzwall/Scherzer (2001,2003,2007). Until otherwise proven, the status of the remaining 39 soldiers will here be regarded as "credibly proven" per Scheibert. Kallfelz is one of them.
