CAREER :
April 1940 : student in médecine, mobilised as an officer cadet in the reserve
February 1941 : demobilised as médecin sous-lieutenant (lieutenant)
September : create a network in the French Resistance in Algiers tio prepare the future operation Torch
7 November 1942 : launch the occupation of Algiers by 400 résistants the night before allied OperationTorch landed in North Africa.
November 1942 : neutralise all the responibles faithful to Vichy State with the French Resistance in Algiers and facilitate the surrending of the French Army in Africa.
December 1942 : arrested and sent to a camp in the South of Algeria
April 1943 : relaxed due to US and general de Gaulle personal intervention
May 1943 : join the Free French Forces in London as médecin-lieutenant (1st lieutenant)
Octobre 1943 : sent in occupied France to organise the medical structure of the maquis and the FFI (Forces Françaises de l''Intérieur).
June 1944 : return in London and Algiers to pass his medical exams and become a doctor.
August 1944 : sent in the South of France just liberated to install the new French authorities in Toulouse, Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand.
February 1946 : demobilised as a médecin-capitaine (captain)
