Biography

His father was a Navy officer and oceanographer.
Studied in the French National School of Arts and Crafts until the war burst.
19 June 1940 : sailed to England with his Young brother from Le Conquet Harbour.
1st July 1940 : entered the Free French Forces in London.
1941 : attended the cadet officer course in Camberley
January 1942 : appointed in the Bataillon de marche n°3 in the Middle East as midshipman.
1942-43 : took part in the Campaing in Libya.
1943 : appointed asz platoon leader to the anti-tank platoon of the BM 4, took part of the campaigns in Tunesia and in Italy.
16 August 1944 : promoted 1st lieutenant landed in Cavalaire - Provence - France.
1947-49 : general Koenig's Aide-de-camp in Germany.
1949-59 : he is then for 10 years officer of the Native Affairs in Morocco then seconded to the Moroccan government for the provincial administration .
1960-63 : Director of the Hassimessaoud Petroleum Center.
1963-71 : stationed at the Delegation for Regional Planning (DATAR) for the creation of regional nature parks
1965 : In the meantime he left the army with the rank of reserve lieutenant-colonel.
He is a member of the Council of the Order of the Liberation since September 2005.
