Biography
Golosov participated in the Great Patriotic War from day one. From 25 december 1941 to 29 June 1942 and from 21 October 1942 tot 16 February 1944 he commanded the 280th Rifle Division. After this he spent some time in a hospital recovering from wounds and later that year he attended the Military Academy for the General Staff. From 4 January to 11 May 1945 he subsequently commanded the 131st Rifle Corps.
Golosov was promoted Colonel on 19 May 1942 and Major-General on 22 February 1943. During the war he suffered three wounds and two contusions. On 24 June 1945 he participated in the famous Victory Parade on the Red Square in Moscow.
