Citation:
"Distinctly distinguished himself by performing exceptionally courageous and tactful actions in the battle against the enemy after he landed as a paratrooper agent on Dutch territory still occupied by the enemy in October 1944 with the assigned radio operator. In particular, he organised the weapon drops on the area assigned to him from October 1944 to April 1945 and requested them by radio in England. Due to his policy of full action, he managed to evade capture several times and was able to continue his work for the resistance groups in the area assigned to him until the liberation."
