Biography

August Pattyn was born on May 21st, 1917 as son to Adolf Pattyn (1882-1937) and Hortense Pattyn-DeSmet (1885-1923).
He enlisted in Detroit, Michigan on 2nd April 1942.
On December 29th, 1945 he married Ethel May Toots in Detroit. The couple had three children.
