"Colonel K.C. Gray performed meritorious services to the cause of the Allied war effort from September 1944 to July 1945. As a General Staff Officer, first grade, in the British War Office in the capacity of Deputy Director of Warlike Stores (C), Colonel Gray earned and enjoyed the respect and confidence of all American officers with whom he came in contact. Throughout his close-operation, courtesy and integrity Colonel Gray both ably represented his own country and contributed considerably to the objectives of the combined Munitions Assignment Boards in assisting in the equitable distribution of motor vehicles. His sound judgment and understanding of United States as well as British supply problems, were a great contribution to our combined military effort, and his services reflected great credit on himself and on the Allied war effort."
