Biography

Warren G. Heintz served as a Radio-Operator with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He arrived with 532nd Bomb Squadron, 381st Bomb Group on March 26th, 1943. His unit arrived at Bovingdon Airfield in England on May 29th. On September 3rd, 1943 he flew a mission to the airfield of Romilly sur Seine in France with Aircraft A/C 118, piloted by 2nd Lieutenant Daniel D. Hagarty with 534th Bomb Squadron, 381st Bomb Group.
Warren Heintz was killed on October 8th, 1943 when the Boeing B-17F-75-BO "Ole Flak Sack", 42-29854, he served on was shot down by a Germang fighter near Diepholz, during a bombarding operation on Bremen.
