"This officer has shown consistent energy, keenness and ability of a very high order throughout the campaign. He was responsible for the bulk of the initial constructions of 14 A.O.D. at St. Andrieu before a C.R.E. was appointed to the project and so had many duties to perform outside his normal work on site.

His constant enthusiasm and devotion to duty have throughout the campaign been an inspiration to all those who have come in contact with him: the worse the conditions the more cheerful and energetic he becomes.

There is nothing that, thanks to him, his Company cannot be relied upon to do with the greatest thoroughness and promptitude."
