Biography

Fred Spencer Gilliland was enlisted on June 21st, 1941 at the Jefferson Barrack in Missouri. He left for the Pacific on May 10th, 1944 to arrive there on June 2nd. He took part in the battles for New Guinea and Luzon. He arrived back in the United States on November 21st, 1945 and was honorably discharged on November 30th.
