Recommendation:
On the 24 July 1944 at Mondeville, France, the Headquarters Area at which this Officer was on duty was subjected to enemy shellfire and attack by aircraft, which severed all line communications.
This Officer took personal charge of wireless communications, remaining at wireless control without regard for his own personal safety during the whole period, in spite of the fact the vehicle received a direct hit. By this action communications were maintained at a vital important period.
