"Flt. Sgt. Goacher has taken part in a large number of operational sorties. On one occasion in June, 1943, he was the rear gunner in an aircraft detailed to attack Bochum. Before reaching the target his turret was damaged by enemy action, nevertheless tlfis airman pressed on and successfully completed his mission."
