Ginger Dowell was born in Rosetta, Kentucky on May 20th, 1924.

He was inducted on March 24th, 1943 and entered service on March 31st at Louisville, Kentucku. He served as Private Frist Class with Company G, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. He left for Europe on July 2nd, 1944 to arrive there on July 9th. He returned to the United States on December 10th, 1945 and arrived there on December 21st.
He was honorably discharged at Separation Center Fort Knox, Kentucky on December 27th, 1945.
