In November 1943, his aircraft was detailed for a mission to Berlin. On the run up to the target severe damage was sustained from anti-aircraft fire and the inter-communication system was rendered unserviceable. Under the most difficult circumstances this officer effected repairs and despite intense enemy opposition, the mission was successfully completed. Flying Officer Ronaldson has always shown courage and devotion to duty of a high order."
