    Biography

    Flying Officer Graves, Air Gunner, was posted to 619 Squadron from 1660 O.T.U. on 30 June 1943. He subsequently completed a tour of operations in the squadron on Lancaster aircraft with targets including Mulheim, Wuphertal, Gelsenkirchen, Cologne, Kassel, Berlin, Stuttgart, Schweinfurt, Salbris, Bourg-Leopold, Amiens, La Pernelle, Auchy Les Hesdin, Brest, Deelen, Le Havre, Darmstadt, and Ladbergen.

    19 December, 1942: Pilot Officer (probation/emergency)
    19 June, 1943: Flying Officer (probation/war sub)
    24 April, 1947: Comission As Flight Lieutenant, extended service (four years on the active list, later 4 times extended to nine years)
    6 april 1950: transfer to the Secretarial Branch
    24 april 1956: transfer to the reserve
    24 april 1960: relinquishes his commission

    Probably at the time of the recommendation, Kenneth Graves was Flying Officer but the London Gazette states he was a Flight Lieutenant at the time of the publication.
