Biography

Stanley Conners was educated in Darjeeling before returning to England. He joined the Auxiliary Air Force and received a short service commission in 1937.
On completion of his training he was posted to No. 111 Squadron in June 1938. The unit was send to France as part of the Advanced Air Striking Force and saw severe action.
Back in England, on August 18th, 1940 he shot down a Do17 but was killed over Kenley Airfield when his Hurricane was hit by an anti-aircraft shell.
Stanley Connors lies buried at North Berwick Cemetery, Sec. B. Grave 123.
