Biography
Max-Martin Teichert entered service with the Kriegsmarine in 1934. After serving as I.Wachoffizier aboard the "U 94", he served as Kommandant "U 456" from September 18th, 1941 until May 12th, 1943. During 11 operational sails (192 days at sea), he sunk a total of 6 ships with a combined tonnage of 31.528 BRT and damaged two ships with a total tonnage of 17.921 BRT. He was killed when his ship was sunk in the North Atlantic at 46.39N / 26.54W.
