Biography
Richard Wingfield graduated in 1944 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was assigned to the U.S.S. Orestes and was killed along with 44 of his shipmates during a kamikaze attack in the Philippine’s Mindoro Bay on January 1, 1945.
