Recommendation:
"Flight Sergeant Chamberlain has completed 60 operational sorties, 26 of which have been with the Pathfinder Force. Such heavily defended targets as Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart are included in this total.
This N.C.O. is an enthusiastic and reliable gunner with a fine zeal for operations. He has plenty of grit and determination and is always willing to fly with any crew. His vigilance has on many occasions resulted in the successful evasion of enemy aircraft.
Flight Sergeant Chamberlain has shown keenness, loyalty and devotion to duty on a higher order and I recommend him for the award of the Distinguished Flying Medal."
