Biography

Frederick James Whitehouse entered service on February 20th, 1933 with the Wiltshire Regiment. He was transferred to India in February 1936 and was placed with the Indian Army in 1941. At that moment he serves as an Instructor with the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1943 he was appointed Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS). His records form his Indian time have been lost. Known is that he served with several units among which were the Punjab Light Horse, UTOC, Ghurkha Regiment, Assam Valley Light Horse, SEAC, 2nd Echelon Assam and IACC. He left the service on February 19th, 1960.
