Jan Reinders served as Soldaat with 1e Bataljon, Ie Compagnie, 9e Infanterie-Regiment (1-I-9 R.I.). He was killed on May 10th, 1940 when the column in which the bus was driving, he was transported with, was attacked by German aircraft near the Postbrug, Oegsgeest. At first the victims were buried in a grave near the Postbrug.
