Director of a MTS in Groningen. Actively involved in the resistance. Meetings of the KP were regularly held at his home on the Oosterhaven. He was involved in the distribution of illegal printed matter and had people in hiding in his home.
He was murdered as a reprisal measure in connection with the attack on Anne Jannes Elsinga, police officer and supporter of the SD.
