    Biography

    George A. Casson served in the European Theater , specifically in the Netherlands. He enlisted in the Army April 10, 1942 and served overseas two years and four months, being discharged September 22, 1945 at Camp Blanding, Florida.

    During Market Garden, George Asher Casson served with Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne DIvision. Later he served with Company L, 194th Glider Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. He reached the rank of Technical Sergeant and served a part of his service as House Sergeant to General James M. Gavin.

    June 6th, 1944: Normandy Invasion with the 82nd Airborne Division;
    September 18th, 1944: Wounded during Market Garden in Holland 1st Battalion, Headquarters Company, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment;

    ?: Transfer Company L, 194th Glider Infantry Regiment;
