Raymond Collishaw was born on November 22nd, 1893 as the son to John Edward Collishaw and Sarah "Sadie" Jones.
For his services during Ww1 he received the Croix de Guerre (1917), the Distinguished Service Cross (July 20th, 1917), the Distinguished Service Order (August 11th, 1917, September 21st, 1918) and the Distinguished Flying Cross (August 3rd, 1918). He achieved a total of 60 victories.
He became Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1921. Also he received the Mentioned in Despatches (December 31st, 1918, March 31st, 1920, October 10th, 1922) and Officer of the British Empire - Civil Division (July 1st, 1946).
