Charles Dennis Buchinsky was better known as actor Charles Dennis Bronzon.

He was born on November 3rd, 1921 as son to Walter Buchinski (later changed to Buchinsky) and Mary Valinsky, Lithuanian immigrants. After the death of his father, Charles Buchinsky worked in colemines until he entered military service on March 17th, 1943.

He was appointed air gunner with 760th Flexible Gunnery Training Squadron and in 1945 became gunner on a Boeing B-29 with 61st Bombardment Squadron, 39th Bombardment Group. Here he flew a total of 26 missions of which 21 bombardment and 5 weather sorties.

After the war he had several jobs and joined a theatre group in Philadelphia. He married Harriet Tendler in 1950 and moved to Hollywood. After several small acting rolls in films and on television and changing his name to Bronson (he thought his former nam sounde dot much Russian), he received larger parts in films. He devorced Harriet in 1965 and married Jill Irleand on October 5th, 1968. Jill passed away on May 18th, 1990. In December 1998 he married Kim Weeks.

Charles Bronson passed away on August 30th, 2003.
