    Biography

    Gerrit Pieter lived at Hoofdstaat 109 (now new construction and previously on the site of the former Rabobank). He worked as a First Civil Servant at the secretariat of the municipality of Grootegast and was active in the LO as a forger and issuer of identity cards. He was liquidated on 31 October 1943, as a reprisal for the attack on Herman Nobach, the son of an NSB member, Pier Nobach. He was taken from home by a Silbertanne commando and shot dead in the verge of the Munnekeweg near Oldekerk.
    Members of this commando were: Lehnhoff, Kindel and Mink.
