"This Officer trained and for six months, until he had an accident, commanded on operations the Troop Field Artillery, Royal Netherlands Brigade. The Unit whether acting independently or under command of a British Regiment or Battery had maintained exceptionally high standard of effectiveness and efficiency. This is almost entirely due to this Officer's leadership, drive and example. It is considered that he has rendered outstanding service in the Brigade."
