Biography
Oberfeldwebel Gotthilf Benseler served with 9. / Kampfgeschwader 3 and Stab. III. / Kampfgeschwader 3 as a Radio Operator. In 1943 he qualified as a pilot. His his death scroll dated February 24th, 1944 is signed by the commander of Zerstörergeschwader 101, so it seems he converted to heavy fighters later in the war.
