Lived in Arnhem. Son of Anthonie Hollebrands (16 November 1876 Ritthem - 20 March 1944 Ede) and Adriana van der Hoeven (30 March 1882 ‘s Grevelduin-Capelle - 24 May 1952 Ede). Unmarried. Marechaussee at Ede Brigade, brother of Joop Hollebrands who was also active in the resistance.
Member of the resistance with the pseudonym Frits. Hiding at De Kroon's farm in the Biesbosch near Werkendam. Was part of the so-called Biesbosch Group, which from September 1944 raided and imprisoned German soldiers on some ships in the Biesbosch. Chris Hollebrands, with two others, was waiting for some SS men who wanted to steal a car at a farm. A gunfight ensued, during which Hollebrands shot a German who was only wounded. His comrade on duty then shot Hollebrands in the head and died instantly. Hollebrands' name is mentioned on the Mausoleum on the Paasberg in Ede. Zijn naam komt ook voor op het provinciaal monument 'De Brabantse Soldaat' in Waalre en het Verzetsmonument in Sleeuwijk.
