Hendrikus Adriaan Winkelman lived in Zeist at the Dr. Nahuyslaan 36. He was married and served as first mate with the Koninklijke Pakketvaart Maatschappij (KPM). Besides that he was a reserve Luitenant ter zee 2e klasse with the Dutch Koninklijke Marine. As a mmbe of the resistance he was arested by the Japanese fo aiding European women in internment camps who had not enough food, medicin etc. As the result of abuse during interrogations he died. He was buried outside of the honory fields.
