Hendrik van Dijk was born on 6 August 1926 in Naarden. He was a student and carpenter and was in hiding with the Rijper family. On 16 November 1944, Hendrik was arrested at the same time as the two sons of reverend Sjouke Rijper, Frans and Klaas, and was executed by firing squad on 18 November 1944 on the Leusderheide.
